Inner Work is Beautiful Work!
Rachel Douglas of Richmond Virginia's Inner Work Center joins Laurel on the podcast to share her story and what's happening at the Inner Work Center that the RVA in which the community can partake. Rachel and Laurel talk about what mindfulness is, and how this practice can be a beautiful and gentle portal to beginning or continuing inner work. They also discuss the growing desire for individuals to find a place to explore spirituality without the dogma of a religious path.

Laurel Holland’s mission is to help connect individuals with their own deep inner peace. As a meditation and Tai Chi instructor she spent years guiding students in the practices of internal relaxation, mindfulness and empowered choice. Through Life Coaching Laurel helps her clients remove the inner chains holding them back so they step into their power and consciously create the lives they desire. Her book, Courageous Woman, and her publication, Live Your Inner Power, the Journal, teach women the eight foundational practices that she believes are the main tools in creating transformation from the inside out. Laurel loves gardening, creating beautiful, sacred spaces and showing you the beauty that lives inside of your soul.
Rachel Douglas came to The Innerwork Center in 2015 (when it was Chrysalis) as it’s first Executive Director She has volunteered for many formal nonprofits and informal grassroots organizations and believes the issues, while vast, are all connected. Rachel earned a BIS (now known as GSWS) and MSW from VCU and considers herself a lifelong learner, holding multiple personal and professional development certificates, including Koru Mindfulness at Duke University. None of her formal education compares to what she has learned by doing her inner work through The Innerwork Center.
